STAFF PROFILE

Erik was born in Indonesia, the eldest among 3 others siblings. He did his undergraduate study in UNSW, attained Chemical Engineering degree in 2006. He is married to Charine since 2009, and they currently live near UNSW to proclaim Jesus at the campus. Before he decided to be trained as a ministry apprentice, Erik was working as a research assistant in UNSW for two years. Erik wasn’t a Christian back then in Indonesia, but by God’s grace and mercy, he had come to know Christ in Sydney through the ministry of Pelita at the end of 2003. He realised back then that he has not treated God as God and being ignorant to God. He has since then repented and turned to Christ as his Lord and Saviour. Erik loves hanging out with friends, playing soccer, reading books, and spending time with Charine, occasionally exploring new restaurants around Sydney. He is also keen to tell others about God who has revealed himself through Jesus Christ. |

Glorya was born in Indonesia, finished high school in Australia and completed a Psychology degree at UNSW. She is now learning how to be a loving and submissive wife to Alan. She loves to hear other people’s advices including how to cook, clean and find the best bargains. This year she is studying full-time at Moore Theological College to be better equipped to share with others about God’s love for us. On Friday evenings and Sundays, Glorya hopes to continue meeting up with the female students on campus. She proudly classifies herself as a fruitarian who enjoys swimming, playing tennis and strolls. |

At Gereja Kristen Pelita, there are also many others who lead, serve, model and pray for our various activities and the people who come to them. Many serve us in a public way. Many more serve in ways that are less obvious. At Gereja Kristen Pelita we are thankful to God for them all. If you are a Christian, why not talk to one of the staff and ask them how you can serve at Gereja Kristen Pelita! |
